Biography
Samia was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her Master's thesis work was based on preparing semi-interpenetrating Polymer Network hydrogels for drug delivery management in wound healing under the supervision of Dr. Papia Haque and Dr. Mohammad Shahruzzaman. During her Master's program, she also joined a short research-based program for young scientists at Kumamoto University, Japan under ‘Sakura Science Exchange Program’. In this program, she got some training for different equipment and developed her project in the Materials Chemistry and biochemistry lab. 

In Fall 2021, Samia joined Chemistry department, University of Pittsburgh and she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Star.
